ألذ وصفه ملوخيه

Molokhia is one of the two summer plants, and Glory be to God, its season is in the summer because our body benefits from it to the highest extent during the summer

Imagine with me all these benefits:

1. Control your blood pressure

Molokhia’s high content of potassium makes it play a major role in controlling blood pressure in the body and promoting heart health. Potassium helps relax and widen blood vessels, thus increasing blood flow and oxygen in them.
2. Promote heart health

Molokhia’s high content of potassium, as mentioned earlier, helps regulate blood pressure levels, which also promotes heart health.

But in addition to that, the high content of dietary fiber that Molokhia contains enhances its benefits. Dietary fiber helps reduce levels of bad cholesterol in the body (LDL), and increases levels of good cholesterol (HDL). The aforementioned would help reduce the chances of heart attacks, strokes, and atherosclerosis.
3. Regulate the work of the digestive system

One of the benefits of Molokhia is that it contains high levels of dietary fiber that helps regulate digestion, prevent constipation, and relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.
4. Prevention of osteoporosis

Another benefit of Molokhia is that it promotes bone growth and protects it from fragility and fracture. Its high content of various minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, selenium, and various antioxidants all plays an important role in building, protecting and protecting bones.
5. Prevention of anemia

Dark green leafy vegetables have always been known for their high iron content, and the darker the green, the more iron they contain.

Iron is the main component of red blood cells, and its deficiency leads to increased chances of anemia.
6. Relax and get rid of insomnia

One of the benefits of mallow is the prevention of insomnia and sleep disorders, as its content of potassium and magnesium helps regulate the work of nerves and helps to relax.

Magnesium, in particular, has a great role to play in combating insomnia and sleep disorders.
7. Fighting free radicals and infections and boosting immunity

The powerful antioxidants that Molokhia contains of carotenoids, selenium, vitamin C, and vitamin E make it play a major role in preventing the effect of free radicals, and thus:

Enhancing the body’s immunity and the health of white blood cells.
Skin protection, vision enhancement and skin health.
Prevention of wrinkles and signs of aging, and macular degeneration.
Promote brain health and memory.
Prevention of different types of cancers, specifically those related to the digestive system, such as: colon cancer.
Vitamin E plays a major role in preventing infections and relieving their symptoms, such as: arthritis and rheumatism.

Come to the recipe

  • Heat the ghee in a saucepan and add the chopped onion, garlic and a spoonful of ginger
  • Add the shredded chicken and stir until the color of the chicken changes and tends to turn white
  • Add our favorite spices (black lemon – mixed spices – turmeric – cumin – coriander – black pepper and salt)
  • Add half a cup of green beans and cover the pot over medium to high heat for an hour, or until the chicken is tender
  • Reduce the heat to the lowest, then add the chopped molokhia (or it can be frozen) and leave the pot open until it becomes black.
  • Stir the broth until the mallow mixes
  • In a second small saucepan, we make the tasha (olive oil, sauté the garlic, coriander, and freshly chopped garlic until the sweet smell of garlic comes out, then turn off the heat before the garlic burns) and add it to the Molokhia

Served with brown rice
